Whiston Worrygoose English Hub offers a wide variety of professional development opportunities available to all schools through a range of training programmes, webinars and workshops. All training opportunities are currently free to all schools and are funded by the DfE.
All CPD available through the English Hub is quality assured, evidence informed and draws from experts and organisations providing current messages regarding best practice.
To engage with the English Hub programme schools should complete a self-referral form to provide us with accurate information and help us to match our offer to need. A self-referral form is available using the link below should schools wish to make initial contact with us.

Showcase Events held at the English Hub school.
Showcases are open mornings which take place at Whiston Worrygoose Primary School and include information about the work of the Hub, the CPD offer available to schools the opportunity to observe phonics teaching and provide plenty of time for reflection and discussion.
Audits.
Literacy Specialists are available to work with schools and carry out audits designed to help identify current areas of strength and next steps in relation to the three aspects of the English Hub remit.
Medium level support
A programme of free, high quality CPD is available to all schools and connects into the three key areas of our work. Our offer currently covers early language, reading for pupils who need additional consideration and reading fluency. Intensive Partner School support
Our team of experienced Literacy Specialists are able to provide more intensive support to schools who have identified next steps and would like to work with us collaboratively over a longer time period to address them.
